Goodbyes...

I'm sitting on the stoop outside of Bella's little home. We're waiting for a taxi driver to come pick me up so they can take me to the airport. To take me away from everything that has ever mattered. To take me away from Bells...
I'm definitely NOT a crier, but as I'm perching on the porch with Bella beside me, tears are rushing down my cheeks like a waterfall. I know that if I looked over at Bella I would see the same thing.
    "Sof?" Bella whispers.
     "What Bells?" I repy.
"How can you leave me here like this??? Riley will start to harass me at school again and nobody will be here to pick out my outfits."
"I have to leave Bella. I certainly don't want to, but school starts again for me tomorrow. You'll be fine just ignore Riley," I reassure my twin sister. "And you've learned from me whether an outfit is acceptable. If you have any problem picking out something to wear just text me. Okay?" Bella nods. I pull her into a large bear hug. She squeezes me like her life depends on it. Like if she holds onto me like this I would have to stay forever.
"I know I'm being selfish Sofia," Bella sighs. "It's not fair to try and get you to stay here. You have friends and a life in Oregon, but..." Bella snuffles. Tears roll down my cheeks, but they freeze on my face because of the arctic like weather.
Next thing I know a taxi has pulled up in front of us and my luggage is loaded in the back. "I guess this is it... I guess this is goodbye," I murmur.  "For now!" I quickly add.
"Maybe I can visit you for Christmas? Or some other time in a couple of months..." Bella mumbles. I shake my head as if saying, "Maybe". BEEP! BEEP! The impatient taxi driver beeps his horn. I glare at him and hug Bells once again.
After I hug everyone of Bella's family and say another goodbye to Bella and promise we would see each other soon I climb into the taxi. As I look out the frost coated window I see three bundled up girls waving to m- Wait a minute... Where's Bella? I study the street looking for Bella. As I turn to look out the  other window I spot Bella.

She's sitting right next to me...

A Promise

Today's Friday the 26th. Black Friday.
Earlier this morning I sat on Bella's bed beginning to pack up some of my belongings. "Bells can you hand me my pink plaid scarf please?" I asked. Bella reluctantly handed it to me. Once everything that could be packed was stowed in my suitcase I put the suitcase on the floor and leaned back on the soft bed. "Sis, I'm gonna miss you more than anything when I go back home," I muttered.
In just two days I would be on a plane back to Oregon, my home.
"Nothing will be the same without you," Bella cried.
"I know. I know," I replied pulling her into a big hug. "But we'll both have tons of pictures to remember this visit and maybe sometime soon like for Christmas you could come and visit me in Oregon."
"Maybe," Bella mumbled with tears in her eyes.
"When I leave you have to promise me one thing."
       "What?" Bells inquired.
"You have to promise me you will wear all of the clothes we bought when we went shopping together," I declared.
"I promise," My twin sister agreed with a sad smile on her face. I nodded and jumped off her bed.
"Let's go downstairs and see if a rerun of Glee is on."
As we bolted down the stairs a tiny tear slipped down my cheek and plopped onto the ground...

Only 5 more days...

I plopped down onto the couch next to Bells. "Ya know I'm gonna miss you more than anything in the world!" I cried pulling my twin sister into a big bear hug.
"Words can't even express how much I'll miss you!" Bella insisted with a sad smile on her face.
Bella and I only have five more days together. On the 28th I go home. We get to spend Thanksgiving together though.
"So do you want to take some pictures with your new camera?" I asked. Bella nods okay and we bundle up and head outside to take some pictures.
Our feet crunch on the icy sidewalk in a slow steady movement. FLASH! FLASH! Bella and I are both taking pictures when suddenly someone bumps into me and I plummet head first into the grass. Luckily my camera didn't get harmed. I stand up quickly and brush my self off. "Oh! Oppsie! Sorry I didn't see you!" Riley exclaimed in a fake nice voice.
"Oh! I'm sorry you're big ratty hair got in to way of your eye site!" I shot back. I glimpsed a small wince on Riley's face. "Come on Bells. Someone must of put in a dumpster around here and we just happened to run into some trash!" I declare linking arms with Bella.
As I sit on the couch my mind goes back to that morning. The morning I saw Riley cry.

Bobby Pins, Tears, and Bathrooms.

"Bella?? Bells? Where are you?" I rushed down the hallway. When Bella wasn't in our first period class the teacher had told me to take a hall pass and go look for her hoping I could find her because I was her sister.
"Bella??! Please Bells! Where are you????" I darted over to her locker 236 and began to spin the combo hoping to find  a note laying on the top shelf since we share a locker. I pull open the metal door. Nope. Nothing in here besides books and... her backpack. Bella wouldn't just leave her backpack here if she went home so that must mean she's here, at school, hiding. I slammed the locker door shut and raced across the somber tile floor. I ran past a bathroom and  some more lockers. Wait a minute! Did I just here sniffling? The bathroom! Bella's got to be in there, but the question is why. I turned around a scrambled over to the bathroom door. More sniffling. Someone's in there for sure. I pounded on the door. Nobody opened the door, but I had an idea.
"Open up!" I said in Mr. Leonard's (Bella's English teacher) gruff voice. Still the plain cream door remained closed. Hmmm. Oh I know! I pulled a brown bobby pin out of my locks of chocolate brown hair. Alright now If I can just remember how to pick a lock. I shimmied the lock. Rattle! Rattle! Went the bobby pin as I began the process of picking a lock.
Click! OMG! I actually picked a lock, I thought as I pushed the door open just a crack to see inside. A girl was sitting on the toilet, facing the wall straight ahead with her shoulders shaking, but this girl wasn't Bells. Realization slipped into my mind. The girl sitting on the toilet crying was not Bella, but was Riley Blasingham...

One Less Memory to Capture...

Today's Sunday. On Friday I went to school with Bella and I can't wait to go again. Riley. What a wimp! I won't even need one of my Coach bags to knock her to the ground. Also Bella got a note from her crush, Alex asking if she wanted to go on a date Saturday (yesterday). I got her all ready yesterday and she went off to the movie in this adorable outfit I picked out, pale blue eyeshadow, and some lip gloss.
After Bella returned home it was late. At 11:00 pm (half an hour after Bella got home) we were snuggled in our beds.
"So was Alex all you thought he would be?" I asked Bells.
" He was so sweet," She mumbled. I imagine her cheeks were flaming red.
" So what should we do tomorrow?"
"How about we go to the park and you can take some pictures and then after that we can go get some ice cream?" My sister replied.
   "Alright. That sounds good."
"You know Sof, I'm SOO glad you're here," Bella whispered.
"I know Bells. Me too." And with that we fell asleep...
Well, right now Bells is in her bedroom insisting on picking out her own outfit today. I told her she could, but she has to let me help her do her makeup.
I'm wearing a cream sweater with pink and purple stripes on it, a matching purple glittery cami underneath the sweater, pink skinny jeans that match the pink on the sweater and some purple hightops (hey a girly girl can totally wear converse!).
"Come on Sis, let's get going!" I yell pounding on her bedroom door.
"I'm coming. I'm coming!" she states. Bella pulls open the door sporting a pair of black pants, a green fur hoodie, the shirt underneath was a long sleeve, white shirt that says, "AERO", and her white converse sneakers. Wow! I think.
"Wow Bells! You look pretty good. Now come on let me take you to the bathroom and we can apply some makeup!" I squeal in delight dragging Bella to the bathroom where all our makeup supplies are. I apply some strawberry banana lip gloss, pale green eyeshadow, mascara, and a little bit of blush onto my squirming sibling. "There! All done!" I exclaim. "Look in the mirror."
       "Woahh!!" Bella declares.
"Do you like it?" I inquire.
"I LOVE it!!" Bella explains pulling me into a gigantic hug. I smile, hugging her tighter.
"Let me go get my camera!" I run off down the hall to go get me camera. I arrive back from Bella's room with my camera in my hand. "Say MAKEUP!" I cry. We smile with our arms around each other and I push the button on my camera as we bellow, "MAKEUP!" Click! Yet another memory captured, I think. And so many more to go.

Fashion Fades, Style is Eternal.

When we arrived home from our day of shopping we sat on the couch and I got out my camera hoping to get some picture of us together.
       "Bells?"
        "Yeah Sofia?"
"When can I go to school with you?" I questioned.
"Well tomorrow I have school so I guess you can come tomorrow," she replied.
"Yay!!" I squealed. "OMG!! I can pick out your outfit tomorrow and do your makeup with all your new mall purchases!!" Bella just shook her head, but I spotted a small smile on her face. "Please???"
"Oh fine, but it can't be too pink and it also has to be warm enough. Tomorrow's supposed to be super cold," My twin sister stated.
"Awesome!" I declared while reaching over to put my arm around her so I could take a picture to remember this moment. We both had a big grin on our face. Click! The camera flashed. "Come on, let's go to your bedroom and I can pick out our outfits and makeup for tomorrow."
"How about this outfit?" I asked holding up a black sweater, a white lace cami, a green bubble skirt ,   black leggings, and a pair of white converse high tops.
"I'll wear it if you promise you won't put too much makeup on me and you won;t embarrass me at school tomorrow," Bells agreed.
"I promise. Ohh! I know what I'll wear!!" I raced over to my bag and pulled out a bright pink dress with rhinestones on the collar, a silver long-sleeved shrug, and a pair of silver flats."
"You're going to FREEZE in that thing!" Bells shrieked.
I just shrugged. "Sometimes you have to pay for fashion with more than money." "Come on let's go to your bathroom to pick out some makeup for you to wear tomorrow."

Gleeks Reunite!

I heard the front door slam and someone call out, "I'm home!" Ekkk! It's Bella!!! I clamped my mouth shut trying to keep myself from running down the stairs screaming. I sat there bouncing on her bed which had a green and black comforter on it. How slow can a person walk up the stairs? I thought impatiently. Suddenly the bedroom door creaked slowly swinging open. There stood my twin sister, Bella with her mouth hung open in shock. I squealed and looked her up and down from head to toe.
Bella wore a pair of distressed denim jeans, a black jacket, black converse. and a long sleeved shirt that said, "GLEEK!". I shook my head smiling at her. Not the best outfit, but I'll let it slide just this once.
     "SOFIA!" She shouted.
      "BELLS!" I replied.
My sibling raced over to me and squeezed me till I just about couldn't breath, but I didn't care and hugged her back just as tightly.
After much explaining and excited shrieks her family and I sat down to dinner. All through dinner I had a gigantic grin on my face.
While we were eating dinner I made a decision. "Bells? Will you let me take you shopping tomorrow since you don't have any school?" I asked exuberantly. Bella seemed to consider it for awhile, but she finally reluctantly agreed. Yay!
Bells and I sat on the couch watching a rerun of Glee together when I turned to her and declared, "Now I can kick Riley's butt."

Bella!!!

I sat there on Bella's bed waiting. Just waiting for her to arrive home from school. My luggage sat on the floor beside me my camera was in my hand. Bella.... Where is she???

Brrr!

Brrr! I wrapped my arms around my self. God it’s cold here, I thought. Sure I had expected it to be cold and I had dressed appropriately because it gets freezing in mid-fall at home, but I didn’t realize I would be standing in the cold for 15 minutes waiting for a taxi to pick me up.
“Taxi??” I yelled. I’ve never hailed a taxi or been in a taxi because they’re pretty uncommon in Oregon. Just as a taxi rolled by held out my hand as if saying to “stop”!  The taxi groaned to a stop and a tall gray-haired man stepped out of the driver’s side. To tell you the truth he was pretty intimidating, but he seemed nice enough.
“Hi there little lady! Do you need a ride?,” the man asked. I gulped and nodded. “Here let me take your luggage then.”
“Uhhh. Okay thanks,” I stammered as I got into the cab. The man climbed into the driver’s side.
“Where to honey?” he asked turning around to look at me.
“1139 Bradford Street, Charleston West Virginia,” I replied.
The taxi driver started the car and we were off. Off to see Bella…

Sorry!

I'm SO sorry that I didn't post last night when I landed here in West Virginia, but by the time I got to my hotel I was really tired.
Anyway, I just got back from doing some shopping and I got some cute clothes! (YAY CUTE CLOTHES!!!)
I'm just SOOOOOOOOOO SUPER excited to see Bella! I get to see her tomorrow after school. She's gonna be extremely surprised. Maybe she'll even faint O_o Lol!
Well I have to go decide what to wear tomorrow when I meet Bells. I'm gonna make my outfit EXTRA glittery and pink just to annoy her. Lol!
Adios,
Sofia

Packing Up and Leaving

This morning I began packing for my trip

Here's my bulging backpack

I obviously can't forget to take my laptop
or camera

Here are my luggage

These are my boots to keep me warm

My friends wave goodbye to me

Right now I am on the plane typing up this blog post. I'm SOO super excited to see Bella
This plane ride is beautiful. Oregon has plenty of trees and rivers, but seeing it in a whole other state is pretty cool.
I arrive in West Virginia at 6:00 pm pacific time which I guess would be 9:00 pm in West Virginia. I don't get to see Bells until Wednesday though because I need some time to settle in and "be aware of my surroundings" according to Emily.
Well, I am going to sign off for now because I want to take some pictures that I will hopefully post on here when I get back.

Planning!!!

"Gather around girls! I have some news!" I declared. Misty, Nicki, Megan, and Marisol all rushed into our living room. "Take a seat." Once everyone was seated I told them about my Instant Messaging with Emily the other day.
   "OMG Sofia!"
"She really said you could go and see Bella??" I nodded with a big grin on my face.
"She said I could if it was alright with you girls and of course your dad Megan," I responded
"Of course it is! So when are you going to leave?" Megan asked exuberantly.
I continued to tell the girls I was to leave tomorrow and arrive in West Virginia on that following night, but I wouldn't be seeing Bella until Wednesday because I was going to do some shopping and that I needed to get a plane ticket. Megan told me she would have Mrs. Wellington (her cook/nanny) get me a plane ticket this afternoon.
"When will you be coming back?" Misty hadn't spoken during the whole discussion. She just sat with her head down and her back hunched over.
"I will be back the night of the 28th. Just in time for school the next day," I replied sympathetically. Misty just nodded sadly. I knew they would all miss me, but I haven't seen Bella in months.
Half an hour later I sat on my bed dreaming of all the things Bells and I would do together. I knew that those upcoming weeks would be the best weeks of my life. No doubt.

BEEP!
EmilylovesEngland@gmail.com is online, my screen read. Emily is Bella's sister, but she always acts like her mother. I guess I can ask her how everyone is.

You have requested to IM EmilylovesEngland@gmail.com (Emily). Are you sure you would like to IM her?
I impatiently click the little "Yes!" box.
BEEP
A window pops up and I begin to type a greeting to Emily.
iheartfashion@gmail.com (Me): Emily!
EmilylovesEngland@gmail.com (Emily): Hello, Sofia!
Me: How is everyone?
Emily: Pretty good. Bella misses you! She's been in a bit of trouble lately...
Me: What?
Emily: She got into a skirmish at school yesterday.
Emily: I'm not very happy with her.
Me: What happened?
Emily: Some girl...(Riley I think) was upsetting Bella, and from what I was told there was a fight. Bella won't talk about it.
Emily: Just a fight. *Sighs* Bella's never like that. She knows better.
Me: Riley again?! That's IT!!
Emily: ???
Me: I'm coming to West Virginia. I NEED to see Bella (and kick Riley's butt)!
Emily: Oh no, I don't think your friends will want that.
Emily: Not that you're unwanted, I just know it may be inconvenient.
Me: My friends won't care. Trust me. Can I PLEASE come?
Emily: Well...
Emily: If that's what you really want, then I'm fine with it, of course.
Me: EEK! THANK YOU SOO SOOOO MUCH!!!
Emily: No problem. :)
Emily: Now... Should I let Bella know?
Me: No! It will be a surprise.
Emily: Okay honey.
Me: So... When should I come?
Emily: Well, everyone's off from school Thursday.
Emily: How about leaving Monday?
Me: Okay, that sounds great!
Me: It's Fall Break right now where I live so I have Monday the 8th off all the way until the 29th which is when I start school again. So how about I leave Sunday the 28th after Thanksgiving (Well if you want me that long)?
Emily: That sounds perfect honey. You're always welcome! Oh! I have to go I believe Bella just walked in the front door.
Me: Okay. Bye! See ya soon!

OMG!!! I get to finally reunite with Bells. My dream come true!

Failure?

"Alright class, I'm going to hand out last week's test so you can see your score," Mrs. Wilkinson announced sauntering over to her desk and picking up a stack of papers. Oh crap. Oh crap. Oh crap! I thought. Last week's Science test had been the hardest of all and I had a feeling I was definitely not going to get a 100% on this one.
When Mrs. Wilkinson got to my desk instead of handing me back my test she asked me if she could see me after class. I gulped. Suddenly it felt like everyone was staring at me, but when I looked around the room everyone else was looking at their tests and comparing scores with their friends. I just slipped down into my chair praying that no one would notice I didn't get a test handed back to me.
BRING!!! Finally the bell rang signaling the end of class and the beginning of lunch for 7th graders. Kids scrambled up from their seats and raced out the door. Eventually only me and my science teacher were left in the room.
"Ah... Sofia. Come here please dear." I walked up to her desk in the front of the room. "Well, I was looking at your test and..." I pulled out a tiny pink shopping bag key-chain Bella had given me out of my pocket. It has been my good luck charm for years.
"Can I please see my test?!" I couldn't take it anymore. I needed to see that test.
"Oh yes dear. Here you go." She slipped open one of her desk drawers and pulled out a packet. My test. Just before she handed it to me I squeezed my eyes shut.
"On the second thought could you just tell me what I got?" I questioned
        "You got a..... 105%!"
It took awhile to sink in, but I suddenly snapped open my eyelids and snatched the test from my teacher. It said, "GREAT JOB 105%!" "AHHHHHH!!" I squealed. "Thank you! Thank you! THANK YOU!!" Mrs Wilkinson just smiled a sweet smile and waved towards the door. I thanked her one last time and skipped out the door.
I guess those hours of studying really did pay off.
Miss ya Bells. Life's never the same without you. Stay strong.

Cascading Down...

This morning I was walking down the hall to my locker when I suddenly heard something... Someone was crying and it was coming from the tiny music room that no one uses anymore. I tiptoed up the steps to the music room and cracked open the door. Inside was a girl. She had her head in her lap and she was sniffling loudly. I slipped into the room and softly shut the door behind me. The girl looked up suddenly realizing I was there.  Tears were cascading down her cheeks and onto her fushica shirt that said, "Sweet Treats" on it. It was Alaina.
Alaina's in my Photography class. She always seemed like a really sweet girl, but I didn't know how to approach her because she always was so quiet.
"Uh... I don't mean to interrupt or anything, but I heard someone crying and wanted to make sure no one was hurt," I babbled as I slowly began to back out of the room. Alaina wiped her tears from her cheeks with her shirt sleeve and stood up.
      "Wait! Don't leave! Please."
I turned around to face her. "Okay then. What's wrong?" I asked as I sat down on a plum cushioned stool.
"Ya know Caitlin?" I snorted. How could I not know Caitlin? She's the most popular and meanest girl in the school. I nodded as if to go on. "Well sh-sh-she wrecked  my trimester project in Photography that I had worked on for weeks," she stammered.
"It's ok." I got up from the stool and walked over to her. "It's ok," I repeated. I hugged her letting tears soak through my glittery T-shirt (I always keep a spare tee in my locker). She cried and cried while I kept telling her it would be okay and I would help her finish her project in time (I had already turned mine in) and maybe she could still salvage her A+. She nodded solemnly.
"Thanks for everything Sofia. You're a great friend."
In shock I nod back. A friend?? For some reason I have a feeling we'll be the best of friends...
